The Interdictor

There may be others like this out there, but this blog really lets you into the mind of a few people who are currently staying put in New Orleans.

Please read, and donate -something- to relief efforts.

The Troll Giveaway

OMG...this is not a joke. Too funny, but awesome given the way this season has unfolded for the A's.

We're trading in a set of tickets we can't use to go to this game. I better get one.

Bittersweet

I love Chocolate. I mean, who doesn't? So when i discovered this Chocolate based cafe my eyes literally bugged out. There's a wall of chocolate, chocolate desserts and of course a menus of chocolate drinks. My kinda cafe :)

My favorite kinda chocolate - Dark baby! White chocolate is even really chocolate. In my opinion, only people who don't really understand chocolate eats white chocolate. Sorry if you are one of them.

I can't wait to eat my new chocolate bars - yum!

Blue Skies

The Sun has returned to my neighborhood and I am VERY happy. It's freakin' awesome, since I've been spending a lot of time at home. I think the San Francisco Summer is just around the corner. My mood is very positive when I see the sun.

I've become a little lazy at workin' on the design of my homepage and blog - too busy trying to catch up on the Harry Potter series and learning new cooking recipes.

But I'll be back. I'm stil toying with the idea of switching to WordPress. Looks like it might be a good alternative to all the problems i've been having here on blogger.

Ciao,
Eileen

Ok, if you've got a flickr account read this discussion. If not, you should get one to read the thread and see other picture of animals that do this. Mine doesn't, so don't ask.

Bass Lake and this Blog

I got the sun I so badly needed to see this weekend. I'm recharged for now. Like these ducks here, I floated happily on the lake.

Other photos of my fun weekend can be found on my MoBlog. All I can say is, "nature good, sun good".

Blog redesign update...I like what I have but something is screwy in the dreaded ie browser. It's pretty annoying and I gotta get to tweaking. I've actually been thinking about going back to typepad or maybe even doing a redesign on wordpress! Oh blogger, give me a reason not to switch!

Night Night

Not much to talk about today. I'm tired after taking my yoga class and drinking wine. Tomorrow we're headed up to Bass Lake. I've never been there before. I hope it's fun - Jango is coming with. We have about a 3 hour drive. I hope it goes by fast. I have to get up early - ugh.

Later,

As a dog would interpret

As Tom and I walked to Patrick and Sarah's for dinner, we noticed a loud conversation between 2 women across the street. The conversation slooowly creeped to a high decibel, and then crying, pointing, pushing and shoving ensued. Not too violent, but enough to get my nosy self to ignore the converation Tom tried to start.

My best guess about the women - a mother and daughter spat, but I can't confirm that since I don't speak Mandarin. Later two other people tried to intervene, or "talk out" out the problem. The argument probably lasted at least 30 mins and they obviously didn't care that it happened on a busy street. Oh, and I didn't just stand on the street to watch - I could still see it through S & P's dining room window.

I felt both concerned and (morbidly) amused. Reality TV couldn't beat the front row seat I had. Although I couldn't understand a word, the tone and body language was enough for me to get that both people has issues. I felt like a dog trying to understand human language.

Blogger Envy

Apparently, I've got a long way to go in order to have a compelling blog. Good tips in this article.

I guess i'll focus on a more dynamic header.

I'm working on a new homepage and I'm changin' up the colors...don't think I can change the MoBlog though. Stay tuned. I wish I could afford Studio 8. Maybe someday.

World News Tonight

I'm not one to regularly pay homage to famous people that pass, but for some reason I feel compelled to say goodbye to Peter Jennings. I really respected his work and I even subscribed to his daily e-mail updates. I will honestly miss him at the anchor desk.
