Prince in HD

Oh my. In HD he looks...he looks - fake - like he's wearing a wig. But he's still Prince. Michael Jackson should've gone to Prince for advice on how not to age.

-Does Antonio get any credit for that horrendous rendition of the winning song? Carlos was great , but Antonio?

-Annette still bugs

-I like Hillary's dress. Annette is saying in her head, "I wish Hillary was never born - I would've won twice!"

-Charlie Kaufman...cool. Thankfully, "Eternal" got recogized for something

-Charlize's dress = very pretty

-Jamie Foxx = yay!!!!!!!! I was rootin' for him. Great speech

-still gotta see "Million Dollar Baby". Clint is also worthy of "cool". Damn, his momma is still kickin' it!

Oscartime

Some bloggers are Oscarblogging - breaking it down minute by minute. I'm a little late for that, but I had a thought at
7:53pm...Annette Benning bores me. I defnitely don't like the way she read her part to introduce Yo-Yo Ma. I really didn't like her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes. Maybe she's a nice person, but lately she just bugs.

Here are some other thoughts on this year's grandaddy of award show:

-Chris Rock - looks like he really wants to bust out and offend everyone, but he knows he can't. Too bad. I still like him and his props to Fahrenheit 911 and Russell Crowe. I liked the Magic Theater interviews too. Why didn't he ask if any of them had seen "Ray"? (wink, wink).

-Beyonce- I guess they saved money by having her sing 3 times. I like her, but come on. I would've liked to hear someone else.

It's 8pm and this award show still needs to hand out 7 more. I feel like the pace of this show is draggin'

It's Late...

...but I thought I should take sometime out and post. I added a new button for my flickr page on the right. it's a big button and i hope it doesn't look too ugly. those are my photos floating around in that little space. i think it looks okay.

today was a ten year reunion for me and my old dear friend Gail. I haven't seen her since i graduated from collage. She lives in Florida now and has four kids. it's crazy how much time has passed and how so many things are different, yet so many things are the same.

we were reminicing about old college days with Charisse - who my the main connection to many college friends i have lost touch with. it was good to remember that time in my life and pretty much laugh about all the silliness and craziness back then -dorm life, my first SF apartment, house parties, eating at Mel's, walking around Geary street...

i realized today how many good people are in my past, and present (and hopefully future!). people in life that i meet come and go, but it doesn't mean those people who left are not your friends anymore.

life is good, even though it's complicated.

3 Times a Blogger

This is my third attempt at a weblog. I like the idea of having one, but like my streak of completing novels, I have a hard time committing to a blogging groove. Maybe THIS is the year.

I have no idea what I'll post. I do know this is my place to ramble on about things in my head (not always the most important things, mind you!). So whoever reads this, I do not apologize for anything written here!!!! It's my page...all mine...all mine!!!! Ok, crazyiness ends.

Finally, here's my little comment on the current "Idol" situation I've just witnessed:

-Mario - "Do I Do" = yeah boy
-Constantine - "Kiss for a Rose" - WTF???? bad song, but I still like him
-most of the guys - BORING!!! I barely looked up from my laptop to watch the show.

I'm on Steroids

What timing - while the whole Canseco thing is blowing up on MLB!

But seriously, Jango got into something which caused an allergic reaction near her eye. It's no where else on her face. But guess what? Whatever it was probably rubbed onto me and voila! I broke out in a rash...a damned itchy one!

So to remedy the situation, Jango got a steroid shot and is currently taking steroid pills. I have a steroid cream and an antihistamine that make me sooooooooo sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.

Tom feels left out. Damn those 'roids.

Ode to Jango

Why I love My Dog...

Because of her, I'm more responsible and I have a different set of priorities -- and that's a good thing. You can't just ignore her, or you'll pay for it by crap in the house, chewed up belongings, etc.

Because of her I enjoy nature more than I ever have. I go to the beach often, hike, and simply put, get of the house and breath the fresh air more that I have in my entire life.

Because of her I understand that life is more than just pleasing myself. Life is sharing and learning from others! I give more, and I think about things that concern much more than my little world.
