Moto Troublin'

Yesterday the display on my beloved Motorola RAZR conked out. Yeah, it just simply stopped working. I have never dropped the phone, never treated it badly. I called cingular and they said that I have a year warranty. HOWEVER, if by their examination, they conclude that the non-working display is MY fault, then Ihave to pay $225. I'm pretty confident that will not happen, since i didn't do anything to it. BUT, I've had bad luck with cell phone companies in the past. I took a bunch of pictures of my old phone hoping that will help in my defense, but that might serve as squat.

The good news - I got my replacement phone today! Pretty quick service, and they gave me the packaging I needed to send my old one back. Now I wait for my verdict.

Tomorrow, I'm going to volunteer at the Red Cross with a friend of mine. She's already helped out and asked if I wanted to come. How can I refuse? I'm not sure what to expect, but anything I do will be related to the Hurricane Relief efforts. I just hope I can really be of help out here in the West Coast. Apparently, there are plenty of people here in the Bay Area that are volunteering to go to New Orleans, but not all of them really have the chops to do the relief work in the area.

On the sports front - i'm VERY relieved that my boys pulled out the win today (and in dramatic fashion)...especially since I personally viewed another loss last night. I hope they have the momentum to keep going because they sure are fun to watch.

Cool blog here! I'm glad I found it.

I have a Real Estate site and blog. It pretty much covers everything about Des Moines and Des Moines Real Estate.

Check it out.

freakin spam bloggers! who gives a sh*t about their "real estate" blog....

anyway, I hope you don't have to pay the $225 for the replacement. you shouldn't! If they tell you that you have to, you seriously need to investigate it. This is Cingular we are talking about here. They will do ANYTHING to get your $$$$. I'd leave Cingular, but since my contract isn't up and almost everyone I know has cingular (free mobile to mobile) I'm staying. also I'm interested in that new itunes phone =)

I'm very interested in the phone too, but Tom doesn't really like it.

Doh! I was a little wary over that phone, and this doesn't help. Are they gonna give you a new one?

I'm also not so sure of the iTunes phone. It might be handy if you didn't already have an iPod. But why would you really need your phone to play music too? There's just too much overlapping with electronics these days, I think...

I got my new phone and so far it works fine. I'm still waiting to hear my verdict on the old one.

On the iTunes phone - i guess the music could come in handy if you forget your iPod. If i didn't already have my RAZR i would seriouls think of getting the iTunes phone - especially since they are the same price.
